In the 90’s, the pub culture of Europe was revitalized when some London pub owners decided to start serving high-end food and beers in their establishments. The idea spread across the pond, with more and more pubs cultivating better menus while still maintaining the fun, casual vibe of the traditional tavern.
At 44 & King in Myrtle Beach, we’ve married creative, delicious, high-end culinary sensibilities with Southern comfort and pub atmosphere. When we found the perfect site for our pub, surrounded by old, live oaks, we built to include and preserve the trees, not tear them down. We apply the same philosophy to our food – keep the Southern traditions, with added modern flair.
44 and King is a proud member of the Surfrider Foundation.
